Graham Gano Doubtful for Colts' Week 6 Game Against Jaguars

Colts Place Kicker on IR, Sign Chase McLaughlin to Roster

Indianapolis Faces Jacksonville on Sunday in Crucial AFC South Matchup

The Indianapolis Colts have placed kicker Graham Gano on injured reserve and signed Chase McLaughlin to their roster ahead of their Week 6 matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Gano, who has been dealing with a hamstring injury since Week 2, was listed as doubtful to return in Week 5 against the Denver Broncos and did not play. McLaughlin, a former member of the Colts' practice squad, will take over kicking duties for the team while Gano recovers.

The Colts' decision to place Gano on IR is a significant blow to their special teams unit. Gano has been a reliable kicker for the Colts since joining the team in 2021, making 84.6% of his field goal attempts and 96.1% of his extra point attempts.

McLaughlin, who has spent time with several NFL teams, has made 85.7% of his field goal attempts and 95.5% of his extra point attempts in his career.

The Colts will face the Jaguars on Sunday in a crucial AFC South matchup. Both teams are 2-2-1 and looking to gain ground in the division.

The Colts will need to find a way to replace Gano's production if they want to beat the Jaguars and improve their playoff chances.
