Justin Theroux on Playing Winona Ryder's 'Desperate' Love Interest in 'Beetlejuice 2'

Justin Theroux has been cast as the love interest of Winona Ryder's character in the upcoming 'Beetlejuice 2'. The original 1988 film was a critical and commercial success, and Theroux is excited to be a part of the sequel.
'It's a Dream Come True'
"It's a dream come true," Theroux said in a recent interview. "I've been a fan of the original film since I was a kid, and I'm so excited to be a part of the sequel." Theroux also praised Ryder, saying that she is "an incredible actress" and that he is "thrilled" to be working with her.
'A Desperate Love Interest'
In the sequel, Theroux will play a character named Max. Max is an NYPD detective who is investigating the strange goings-on at the Maitlands' house. Max soon finds himself falling for Lydia, but their relationship is complicated by the fact that Lydia is already engaged to another man.
